NET LGBTQIA+ BAROMÈTRE #FR

The NET LGBTQIA+ BAROMÈTRE 2026-27

This edition of the Net LGBTQIA+ Barometer questions lifestyles, online dating, sexuality, prevention and health of people of sexual or gender diversity.

Our study examines Internet use, sexuality, and prevention among sexually and gender-diverse people. The 2026 version of the questionnaire represents the seventh edition of the Barometer, conducted every five years in France and Québec since 2004. The edition we invite you to complete today is the second adapted for Belgium: the Net LGBTQIA+ Barometer 2026–2027.
The Barometer was initially designed to document the realities of men who have sex with men, a population particularly affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). However, other sexually and gender-diverse populations are also affected by these issues and experience additional social and health-related challenges that are often shared. We therefore invite anyone of sexual and gender diversity* to participate in this study.
This edition takes between 20 and 60 minutes to complete, depending on your life trajectory and the experiences you report over the past 12 months. Your participation contributes to research that may serve as a reflective return to your social and emotional life and your health, while generating essential data.

*We are aware that certain relational, sexual, or gender realities are only partially addressed. For example, sexuality between cisgender women, as well as the lived experiences of intersex or asexual individuals, are not fully covered. In addition, the use of binary-inclusive language may limit the ability of non-binary or intersex individuals to fully express their realities. Despite these limitations, and given the scarcity of available data on the health of sexually and gender-diverse populations, we hope that this edition will provide meaningful insights into their living conditions and health, particularly in the context of ageing.
